Gerry Smith not taking any new work at this time

I recently acquired a Leica M2-R that will need a CLA to tidy up the shutter speeds as well as clean the viewfinder/rangefinder. On friday afternoon I reached out to Gerry Smith at Kindermann camera, and left a voice mail to inquire about price and turn around time for the service. Mr. Smith was nice enough to call me back as soon as they opened today (monday), but unfortunately let me know that he is currently not taking any new work due to a large backlog and him only working part time these days. He was very kinda and polite, but it was kind of a bummer as i've heard good things about his work.

Just as a heads up. I assume at some point once backlog clears he'll accept new work.

i think he is getting on in years...plus he had a heart attack a few years back.
