Get a 2nd ZI body?

What hijbyeo said. The R4A's 35mm frame lines are to small for me. I shoot mainly 35mm and would invest in a 28mm to shoot wider if I decide to. But the 35mm frame lines in the Zeiss and it's bright viewfinder is what blew me away. I covered Obama visiting the World Trade Center downtown today. The film is drying in my bathroom now, once I scan some frames I'll show some here.

Really, if you are missing images with the Bessa because you are used to the Ikon, then the only real solution is to get another Ikon. I shoot with a Leica M9 and M7, which is perfect as they are operationally identical (with the exception of the film advance).

I think that if you wait patiently, you should be able to snag a secondhand Ikon body in very good condition. I have no encountered any issues with my Ikon apart from the body covering slowly going soft where I hold it, and I think that they are pretty robust cameras overall, so transferrable warranty wouldn't really be an issue.

I put it off for ages but finally gave in and acquired a second Zeiss Ikon body to use with a faster film speed and longer lens. Swapping between the two seamlessly calls for two identical bodies. Works really well.
