I was out shooting with the EP1 and the kit zoom lens. I ran into a couple situations where I just needed to have a hood on the lens. Was wondering if anyone had found anything that worked? I was looking at the heavystar type screw in hoods but they dont mention for how many mm's the hoods are for. Since the widest is 28mm equivalent on the kit lens plus a little extra probably for the 4:3 ratio instead of 3:2 it is a little difficult to know which one to buy.

Also I was wondering if the hood might be too heavy for the focus mechanism of the lens, moving all that extra weight around might damage it or something. I once had a heliopan brass filter on the end of a canon 50 f1.4 EF and it was heavy enough to damage the auto focusing mechanism. Maybe a light weight rubber hood? It might be smaller in the bag than the larger metal hoods.

tried the shading with hand bit but it did not work in every situation, would rather just get a hood. I might get a couple really cheap crap filters and punch the glass out
