getting lenses coded by leica

is Leica doing anything else to the lenses other than exchanging the lens mount, when you send old lenses in? I mean do they take the lenses apart? I have a dust spec in my 35 cron, and I wonder whether they would take care of that too..., kind of a micro-CLA.

But i doubt it. 160€ doesn't buy you a lot in Leica land

It looks like you are in the Eu,
www.dagcamera.com is used by many here to clean and repair. They are in Wisconsin the USA and they are faster and cheaper than Leica
do not know if they do coding.

I'm not sure where get DAG is faster and cheaper than Leica. He might be a little cheaper but fast is measured in months. I sent my M7 to Leica in NJ, who sent it on to Germany, and got it back in 4 weeks.

Why not ask the customer service of Leica? I assume that they might have an idea of what is included in the 160,- EUR coding-service and the actual turnaround time these days.
