Especially considering that today I just paid $10 to get a 36-exposure roll of E6 developed and mounted at a local lab in my town, even with the price increase that Walmart price is a good deal.

To support Kodachrome, first of all, what we need to do is... buy it!
Dwaynes will process it for a while after the last roll has been sold, so what we need to do if we don't want to see it go is just buy it by the load and let Kodak see that it's still profitable for them to run a production roll every once in a while. All the talks about giving it to Walmart or sending it directly are preposterous if we don't have anything to send, aren't they; first and foremost we should support Kodak into producing more, secondarily - and automatically - we will support Dwaynes for the processing (being they the only developers of the thing, all rolls bought will end up there at one point or another...).

I shot my second roll on Hallowe'en and sent it off again through my local lab. Looking forward to getting it back.

What you're saying is true only for people who already know about these.
Those who don't have to be informed first of their options (Dwayne or Dwayne through Fuji through Walmart) before they even think about getting a film that many thought already went to oblivion.
