Don't try this at home but on a recent photogaphic trip in manila, whilst carrying too much, I dropped the GF1. It fell a few foot and then crashed right onto the concrete road, landing on the 20mm lens. The cap went flying off. I was worried that was it but apart from some cosmetic damage on the edge of the plastic lens camera and lens work fine. Well done GF1 - thought I could only do that with my Leicas!

...good to hear... just got mine so I'm hoping it's as tough as you say (though I'm not planning on dropping it of course).
