Don't try this at home but on a recent photogaphic trip in manila, whilst carrying too much, I dropped the GF1. It fell a few foot and then crashed right onto the concrete road, landing on the 20mm lens. The cap went flying off. I was worried that was it but apart from some cosmetic damage on the edge of the plastic lens camera and lens work fine. Well done GF1 - thought I could only do that with my Leicas!
