That the question. Is it a worthwhile upgrade? I've got 2 GF 1 bodies and the 14mm and 20mm. I also plan to use these, or the GX1, along with an M8.2, (w/28/35/50), for a editorial travel assignment. Anybody ever see the micro four thirds work well with full page and double page spreads?

I bought the Panasonic G3 rather than the GX1. It is cheaper, has the same sensor, and includes an EVF. I also have a GF1. I use them both but much prefer the G3 with its better sensor and low light performance.

I own the GF1 and the GX1. GX1 clearly is better from iso 400 upwards. AF is faster. Also the EVF is much better. But it is a smaller body.
Ideal would be the IQ of the GX1 packed into the body of the GF1. For me.

I too got a great deal on the G3. I also have the G1 and GF1. They all work really well with M bodies and have no problems printing full or double page spreads.

I'm thinking of upgrading to the OM5d. More expensive, but in-body stabilization, EVF, sealing make it worth it.

I agree with Cron. I want the best specs of the GX1 but my GF1 bodies with the Panasonic half case is just the right size. The GX1 too small to work with.

I had a GF1 and liked it, but things have progressed from when it was released a few years ago. If I were still in the m4/3 game, I'd be looking more at the OM-D.

I have two GF1 bodies, but I'm not really tempted by the GX1 because I think the GF1 is already small enough, I don't need anything smaller. More important, I think the GX1 is ugly with its grip, I would never buy it even if it was spec-wise the best camera in the world. (Call me crazy.)

I own a gf1 that I really like. I have decided to sell my Nikon d3 and big, hevay zooms. if I need a FF dslr for a paid shoot, I will rent it. I spent several hours reading specs and reviews on the gx1, g3, and gh2. I went to the store and held them all. The gh2 just felt right in the hand. The body stying is closer to a dslr that it will help with the transistion. I have yet to take any photos with the gh2. Today!

I'm getting amazing images with the GX1. I'll probably sell mine when my OM-D body preorder is filled--I want image stabilization and EVF in the same body--but I think it's a great camera, and more egronomic than the GF1 was. I recommend the upgrade for sure.
