Here are picts taken with my GSN.

Very impressive. I'm going to take a break from shooting with one Minolta Hi-Matic 9 and trying to free up the shutter on another, and take out the GS with the GSN lens and new pad of death. We'll see how that does.

I just posted two photos in my gallery with my GSN following the replacement of the light seals from Jon Goodman. Great fellow!!! I am continually surprised by the quality of the lens and the contrast and the color it captures. Great traveling companion!!

Just got the negatives from the first roll of the early Electro G that I repaired with a new pad and a lens from a GSN. I'm pretty satisfied with the results, the meter and shutter seem to be working as they should.

Jon,
I too like to ride bikes for exercise but haven't figured out the right bag for carrying on the bike. What do you carry them in? I thought about a backpack but that is too difficult to get into quickly. Suggestions?

I use a canvas bag which drapes over the carrier on the rear of the bike. My wife got it as a teenager for a bike trip in Europe. I don't know if such things are still made, but it's great for small shopping trips and carrying a camera.

I suppose you could make one up using two small backpacks, one for each side of the bike.

Forgive me if this has already been posted, but check out the Yashica photos at this website. The gentleman uses an Electro 35.

Click on one of the seven galleries at the bottom of his page, then click "continue"
when the page for that gallery loads. You will then be viewing the photos.

You'll see beautiful examples of what the Yashica Electros are capable of.

Last Sunday inside the atrium at Hartsfield-Jackson Airport in Atlanta. Konica-Minolta Centuria 800 color print film. It seems to be a good fit with the GSN. The more I use them, the more I like both.

Hello everyone,

I am new here, and just found this thread. I have a Yashica Electro 35, my dad's old camera which he passed to me when he got a new digicam, and have only recently discovered again what a great camera it is.

Here's my website with two pages of Electro photos.

Looking forward to being part of this great rangefinder "posse". :)

I finally got around to posting one of the test-roll shots from my new/old GSN on my website:

http://www.two-muses.com/arch/2005_09.html#000633

I'm really loving this camera (the sharpness and the colours are extraordinary), but am definitely still in learning mode: I'll give myself a major pat on the back when I get through 36 exposures without a single "underexposed" (lens cap on, stom-stom-stom) image!

Thank you! The film? I had to think about this, as I have a vegetable drawer full of almost-expired and just-expired film that I bought via a Dutch market site, and I just grabbed one for the test-roll, but I'm quite sure it was Fuji NPS 160. I'll have to start noting this info - I miss the little square to hold the boxtop that my Nikon FE has...

Lynn just use a piece of masking tape. It is translucent and re stickable (is there such a word?) I just peel off the old box top and tape the new one to the back of the Yashica. Not the best but it works.
