john v V ; I regularly used Superia 400 ISO in my GSN. It is fine. Matter of fact it was and still is my go to C41 - 400 ISO all purpose film.
here's a GSN + Superia

I've gotten lovely results in general with ISO 100 Superia with both my Yashica & my Nikon SLRs. The colors have a pleasing saturation (especially reds & greens), and out-of-focus areas look very smooth when it's used in combination with my GSN's lens. The ISO also gives you more flexibility with your aperture settings on a bright day.
I wouldn't recommend using it to shoot something like a snowy landscape, though–I tried it awhile back & got strangely-tinted snow (Superia Reala is probably better there). A nighttime snowy scene with various lights shining on the snow, on the other hand, can come out very eye-catching because of that color boost

Heldur, that shot almost looks like IR film! Very interesting light indeed.
Philipb, I'm guessing this steam train is used on special occasions and day tours?
Jody36, nice selfie!

Philip, thats pretty good.
Maybe at f8 or f11,
this lense performs very sharp in the egdes and good colors.
Jody36, I think these are the typical rangfinder probs,
cutted legs and too much space in the sky
Was it with selftimer?

actually its of my wife and yeah takes getting used to as far as not cutting off things. the shot was done in hotel room with just the lights from room at night. The lens is very fast. Have since started taking pics further away and cropping to not have this problem.

Its Kodak BW400CN , there are lots of white rocks in the garden area in the front of the building so thats why it might look infrared.
I am new to film photography and BW (or any photography really besides point and shoot digital) So I am on a steep learning curve. But I have been pleased with the Yashica (original electro 35 model with the round lights in the viewfinder)

By the way, is this film good to use? I cant buy B&W film here in Ecuador so I got it on Ebay. I also bought some negative film off an old camera technician who just cut it from a large roll and placed it in a used canister for me to use. I dont know what it is, but it seems to me a truer black and white colour but quite grainy. I need to get it developed by hand. The Kodak BW400cn seems to have a yellowish tinge to it.
Forgive my ignorance here!
