Ilford HP5+, sunny Costarican July. Took my Yashica and Vespa for a ride and made some pictures that I had to make! Scanned with Polaroid SprintScan 35. I hope that you enjoy them!
Ah! San José! I visited your city some 7 or 8 years ago and I felt rigtht at home. In my opinion, San José "feels" very much like my own town, Cuernavaca.
As a matter of fact dad took us to Mexico in 1973 driving his German Ford Taunnus, it was quite a ride! Managua, Nicaragua had been recently leveled by a powerful earthquake. We stayed in the DF. A friendly Mexican recognized the plates and guided us in the mayhem of traffic to our hotel, having lived in Costa Rica, he was very fond of o ur country.
Later during the trip, dad's business partners from Evenflo took us to Cuernvaca's country club, we were kids then and had a great time! What a nice city is Cuernavaca.
Later in life during my masters in business I had a good friend, from Merida Yucatan. Fernando Lopez, his father a prominent architect in this far away city.
So not only historically Costaricans and Mexicans have been in good terms but in practical means too!
I am glad that you felt at home in San José, keep in touch!
