nice images. that's a big lens for such a small body. but, from the looks of the results, a nice pairing nevertheless. and, it does gleam!

I've shot the 85/1.9 and 85/2 one after the other- they are fine lenses. BIG and HEAVY! Not as sharp wide-open as a Nikkor 8.5cm F2, but at F4- can't tell a difference.

Canon 85mm F1.5 on Nex-3.

Canon 85mm F1.5 on Nex-3.

Exceptionally good lens. Great captures.

Mine dosen't gleam, but I'm rather fond of it.

looking the first pic, guess this lens and NEX body has come full circle from being worst balanced kit to where body is just extension of the lens tube, thus perfectly balanced :)

nice photos, seems working combo.

god willing, I have a 1.8 on the way. We'll see what kind of shape it's in. I've never had a lens come as clean as the 1.9 above--no haze at all, body perfect, focus completely smooth and tight, aperture like a clock, tick! It came with a near perfect case, finder and brochures.

The 1.8 is supposed to have a rough body but good glass. If it's good I might try to trade this 1.9 and accessories for a good user 1.2 50

I had one of these and at one level loved it for its build quality. But the focus on mine was always off slightly and I never managed to use it well. Still its one of Canon's greats. (Weighs a tone though!)
