Gluing Beseler 23CII Bellows

On the upper bellows, the bellows fabric has separated from the collar that is pushed up over the condensers. I emailed Beseler and all they said was to use a fabric-to-metal glue. Has anyone done this, and what glue would you recommend?

So far it (E-6000) has stuck very securely. It is tough glue.

I used some Devcon Weldit All Purpose Adhesive on a Lindahl Lens Bellows and it's held together real nice...
Main thing is to follow the instructions on the label...that's right I said to read and follow instructions...

When my bellows started coming off I went to the auto store and picked up some black double sided trim tape. That stuff has been holding just fine. Was about $6 for a roll and I had enough to do another enlarger if I had to.

Maybe that is enough reason to get another?? 🙂

Just to finally follow up, I used double-sided trim tape and it has worked well. I used a 3M, 1/2" x 5 ft. roll for $6 from an auto supply place, which will do 2 enlargers.

I couldn't find the black tape but the gray/brown worked; it doesn't matter as there's really no thickness to the tape when you join the metal plate and the bellows and there are no light leaks. Just scraped the old glue off the metal plate and pressed it to the bellows.

I think this is a good alternate to messy glue as I've read the E-6000 has a terrible solvent odor that does not go away.
