Sorry for the old Jimmy Reed quote, but it's true. My wife and I are going to NYC on Saturday 10/5 for a week. We'll be staying midtown for three nights, then at a friend's apartment in Greenwich Village for four. Any advice about current events or exhibits are welcome. Is the Walker Evans show open yet? I'll be bringing my M3 with Amadeo-adapted Carl Zeiss 50/1.5 Sonnar and a bag of Tri-X. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Been a while since I've been to Noo Yawk... sounds like fun. Have a great trip!

Ground Zero memorial, of course. Always great photo opportunities in Central Park too. Chinatown, Little Italy, Lower East Side (all within a short distance from each other).

Forget about Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty right about now -- part of the National Park Service....

Not an event, but if you like to walk and the weather's nice, the Jay St. Metro Tech subway station is close to the entrance to the Brooklyn Bridge. Walking across into lower Manhattan is a real treat. And the views, well, they're kind of stunning.

The A, C and F trains all stop there should you want to check it out.

Make sure you and your wife visit the High Line. Your wife will enjoy it.
Looks great! Got a .pdf from wikipedia. There's a really similar thing in Paris's 12th arrondissement. We sure enjoyed that, so I'm sure this will be just as nice. Thanks again.
