good deal?

Got yesterday a 2/50mm Zeiss Jena Sonnar (collapsible, coated but not T*) for 30 bucks + surprise, the Helical part of a ContaxII/Kiev. the guy didn't know what it is but I'm sure that it's a Helical. the lens is in good condition (as far as I can tell from the photographs). is 30 bucks a good deal? is the Sonnar really better than my J8M? anyways, I like the fact that it's collapsible 😀

can you show us some photos ? For 30 bucks it should be a good deal.. my 50/2 collapsible (coated, non T) prewar sonnar (from 1936) costed me around 83$ (+20$ shipping from USA). It's in rather great shape. I think for 30$ it should be a bargain 😉

If you click on "Go Advanced" near "Post Quick Reply", and then you scroll down, there's a "manage attachments" button. It will load a window that will allow you to add pictures. 🙂

wow maybe the lens got stuck in the helical ? If the optics are clean it can be a nice restoration work 🙂
