Strange, I would think that as a well established repair business they would have some more careful packing techniques, after all, they KNOW how fragile these things are and how far they are sending them.
Rover, you're right, I got those packaging tips from ZeissCamera.com, and once received a camera packed that way. The only one I've sent out though went inside the er case with loads of very thick foam around it, in the excellent package Pherdi sent me his Yashica.
Joe, Karen Nakamura has some good tips on how to align the P rf, just in case you want to gather some information...
