Goodwill Finds this time around

I was out Thurs. with the family and visited a couple of goodwill stores. came across a nice clean Ricoh 500 RF (needed a battery). Also found hiding in the back of the display case was this Olympus XA 2 with a X11 flash and hard case. The clerk asked if the 3.99 price was to high for a cheap old camera. They did manage to get 10 bucks out of my wallet for the Ricoh though.

You guys have better luck than I do. The Goodwill stores around here never have camera gear.

That Ricoh is the successor to the 500G. More plastic, so not quite as sturdy.
Lens is the same, so pics should be nice and sharp. May be designed to use
PX675 1.3V mercury battery. Let us know how it works with a 1.5V silver cell.

If you don't already have a carry-everywhere coat pocket camera, that XA2
(without flash) is a great candidate. It's far better than most P&S cameras!

Did some garge sales today. No rangefinders just these SLRs for 10 bucks Yashica TL Electro with a Yashica 50mm f2 lens. Ricoh Singlex TLS with a Auto Rikenon 55mm f2 lens, flash and bag.

I've had some luck at garage sales too: a Nikon N60 and an FG, $10 and $20.
