Gordy's wrist strap question

Is the long or extra long Gordy's wrist strap long enough to wrap around your wrist one time, or still only large enough to put your hand through?

It is long enough to put your hand through and secure it with the ring instead of warping around like some of us do with neck strap. Mine seem to be long size, maybe extra long will do.

Don't need to wrap as you put your hand through the strap and tighten the keeper. Don't think either long or extra long would allow you to wrap it around your wrist. Gordy responds to emails quickly if you have any questions.

Have three or four camera straps from Gordy. He does excellent work and will make them any way you want. I only have one wrist stop and use it when traveling with just one camera. Usually when using the wrist strap, the camera rides in a camera bag to and from the shooting location.

I also have his wrist strap/neck strap combo and it lives on my M9. I actually like it better as I am more of a camera strap kind of guy and the combo allows either/or so how could it get any better.

if you use the wrist strap in winter, with gloves or mitts on then get a longer one.

Gordy's wrist strap is the strap to have for sure.
But this secure ring should not be undermined. I didn't used it to make strap tight and camera went on the cement side walk.

I made the mistake of using my wrist strap in the winter with gloves. I was not careful pulling my hand out and ended up with a strap that came undone. To my surprise the only thing holding everything together is gordy's signature colored biding. Almost had a small disaster. I wish the strap (leather) was somehow attached together permanently.

Love the product nonetheless. Just be careful when putting on and taking off. They are not designed to take pulling with any force.

I used Gordy's wrist straps on my M9 and Ricohs (and used it on my R-D1 before). Always been satisfied. Recommended.

To my surprise the only thing holding everything together is gordy's signature colored biding. Almost had a small disaster. I wish the strap (leather) was somehow attached together permanently.

Gordy's straps, including wrist straps, are heavy duty stapled, glued and whipped. The leather, or your wrist, will break far before the joining gives. Hopefully you contacted Gordy and got a replacement as that should have never happened.

Did you buy from Gordy? I make "copies" of Gordy straps for personal use. I don't believe Gordy could tell the difference other than I use Monel staples instead of steel. I'm sure there's no shortage of copies floating around. Who knows how well they're made.

Count me as another satisfied Gordy customer. I have two wrist straps for my M4 and Retina. Both are very well constructed and comfortable, once they are broken in a little bit. And the price is right -- a win all around.

One of the ends on mine came apart. The cordage loosened up and the staple gave out. Luckily I was holding onto the camera when it happened.

The cordage needs to be soaked in epoxy so it doesn't unravel.

Mine did not have staples or evidence of glue. I have also fashioned a few Gordy-like straps for personal use as well. I did buy my Gordy straps directly from him also.

It was quicker to repair it myself than to bother Gordy. I am a satisfied customer.
