Nikon FM2N
Nikkor 105/2.5 lens
Voigtlander 40/2
All used, of course, but in perfect working order. And all cost me less than $600. OK it is not a Leica M6, but hell this rocks!!!

I could have gotten this for under $450 if I went with a Nikkor 35/2 instead of the Voigt, but the Voigt is just so so sharp.

that is a nice kit.
$600 is still a lot of cash. There are many nice 35mm film camera set-ups you can get with that kind of loot. However, enjoy it. That was my first good camera.

lovely set up, great FL's, i'm sure you will enjoy it and produce great results.
as an aside, two months ago i decided to invest in a konica ar system, as i heard the lenses were some of the best ever made: konica tc-x, konica ar 40/1.8, konica 85/1.8. total cost $230 usd. add in konica 28/3.5 and 57/1.4 for an added $90 usd. just sayin'...

A while ago I dropped by my cousin's boyfriend's clothing store and he said "hey, I got something for you". He then proceeded handing me a camera bag containing a Nikon F2A with 28 f2.8, 35mm f2 and 55mm f1.2 lenses. As a gift, of course. Needless to say I told my cousin her boyfriend's a keeper!
That being said, I do need to get me one of those FM2s as the F2A's meter prism isn't working well and it's seriously heavy.

That is a great catch for $600! I use both of those lenses and they are very sharp. Have fun shooting with them!

Great camera. Congrats!
Personally I tend to gravitate towards Underrated models Like the Minolta X-series, Konica FT's Nikon N's etc.....
I picked up a N70 to use as my "Truck SLR" with a 70-300 AF lens for less than $40 not too long ago.

In the SLR world, I am a Nikon whore, so my beat-up Nikkormat FTN is always somewhere in my car, although I think of it more as a defensive weapon (due to bulk and all that metal) than a photo tool.Great camera. Congrats!
