Thanks, and I'm not sure. I want to try out Ektar and Provia, maybe Portra too. I'd also like to find a nice high ISO film since I don't know of any lightweight, small flashes and I do like to do things in low light. Maybe, uh, Cinestill?
Black and white seems nice too, but it's a bit expensive to develop. There's also so many options so I haven't done much research yet.

Ektar is great with outdoors, same with Provia, but I don't think Provia is the best with skin. Portra is amazing with skin, and responds well to being overexposed by a third to half a stop. It has great exposure latitude, too, so if you overexpose it still retains detail and looks nice.
Provia is probably going to cost more to process, being slide film.
If you're feeling intrepid, buy some dev chems and equipment and learn to process your own black and white film. There are tutorials all over the internet, in written form and on YouTube. It is way cheaper to develop black and white film yourself. And you can scan it with a digital camera and macro lens.

FYI, I have the S mount 50/1.5 Sonnar and use it with the Amedeo adapter on M bodies. It focuses perfectly at max aperture.

@der Koekje - you might want to look at Lars Wastfelt's flickr page. He shoots with a Zeiss Ikon ZM rangefinder and a number of Zeiss lenses including the 25mm Biogon, 28mm Biogon, 35mm f2 Biogon. It will give you an idea of what is possible with wider Zeiss lenses on a Leica M body.

Quite happy with the lens so far. Very light and without the hood it doesn't obstruct the viewfinder much. Still haven't figured out where the focus shift occurs, I've basically just been letting it do its thing while I get used to focusing with rangefinders (its messy).
