Hello,

I am reading up on the problem with the Rolleiflex SL35 e and a stuck mirror.
But in my case it only appears to happen when the lens is attached on the camera. When the lens is off the mirror seems to be closing and opening as it should.

Before I open the bottom of the camera , could it be a simpler problem my Rolleiflex has? Is there a contact between lens and camera I could check/clean?

Any advice?

btw: While trying to open up the bottom besides the 3 screws is it correct the bottom is sticked/glued to the rest of the body???
And what should be cleaned?
Regards,

First off, what lens are you trying to mount on the camera? It could be incompatible. And have you tried other lenses yet?

Another problem could be something that happens on other camera makes, in that the glue on the mirror softens in heat, and then the mirror slides downward and catches on the rear of the lens.

There is a pin below the mirror box that stops down the lens, is something impeding it? Fire the shutter with the lens off and you can see it move.
