Got my first Leica!

No, the OM-4 series cameras really have horrid time lag.

Dear Chris,

First, congratulations.

Second, I think it was Jason Schneider who coined the term 'temporal parallax'. This is something that hardly anyone thought about until the first, REALLY slow autofocus cameras came out, but even before that, the delay between pressing the shutter and getting the picture was significantly longer for an SLR than for a Leica, because the mirror had to get out of the way first, and with auto-exposure, the delay commonly doubled again. Then there was the temporal parallax of a C-series Hasselblad, which was (and is) almost 1/10 second: close shutter, raise big, heavy mirror, fire shutter for exposure.
