... I installed my Cosina Voigtlaender Ultron 1.7 35mm lens on it. Black MP with silver Ultron looks stunning. While I am waiting for my Summilux to come I wonder if anyone had any experience with Cosina glass on M bodies. Any particular problems. So far I haven't noticed anything unusual, work just like on my Bessa but I'd like to hear your opiniens and experieinces.
Thanks

Stric,

Is the MP "brand new" or "new to you" ? Just curious as I've seen the odd "gotta send my MP back for service" thread here and there.

Cheers
Dave

I have a CV 35mm Color Skopar PII mounted on my M6.. After being mounted, I'm able to roate the lens slightly ( about 0.5-1mm in each direction) My Leica lens does not do this... hmm pff

The only thing I've ever noticed about the CV LTM-M adapters has been with the 50-75 adapter - I've tried 2 - I've got one from B&H and I tried one up here from a local dealer (Downtown Camera) and neither one "click" on my M6 OR my M3. They bring up the appropriate frame lines and the lens stays "stable" but there's no "click" sound like any of the other adatpers to signify that the lens is locked on the body.

Weird..

Well my CV 35 is an M-mount. No adapters here.. and it does 'click'... that 1mm give really bothers me though becaue I can feel and hear it shifting whenever I give a quick push on the focus tab. :(

I've had many a days fun shooting with CV glass on an M7, including the 15, 28 f3.5 (tiny), 35 Ultron and 90 Lanthar. All using CV adapters and no problems what so ever. I'm pondering a CV 21 but need to save some cash.

Have fun.

I just received a black paint Leica MP last week and boy is it a nice camera.

One thing that struck me was that the colour scheme of the black CV lenses matches the MP perfectly... the black lens barrel with the red and white lettering is pretty sharp. Of course, looks don't mean anything... okay, maybe a little fondling has been going on. It's going to take some willpower to stop worrying about every ding and get down to the brass! :)

My CV 35mm 1.2 has a slight amount of play when mounted on my M2. Never bothers me, but it did when I was holding it by the lens and the body dismounted and hit the sidewalk. I don't carry my camera by the lens anymore.

Well since the 35mm 1.2 has some decent heft, it is actually possible to dismount the lens without pressing the lens release. I was probably asking for it since I was basically running down a sidewalk with no strap and just carrying it by the lens.

On the upside, my M2 did get treated to a spanky new rangefinder unit, vulcanite touchup, and a general CLA. Best $650 I ever spent?

Hi Stric,

Enjoy it! I've had mine for almost a month now, love it! I bought the chrome body as I have several older Leica chome lenses. Mind you, it looks alright with the black 35 f2 summicron attached as well.

Cheers,
kf
