I`ve posted about my absolutely favorite RF bag from Grafea a couple of times before. Before Xmas they expanded their line with a new bag with padded insert... my new, new favorite bag :) Well last month they asked me if I`d take some pics of my bag for their website, demonstrating it`s utility as a camera bag. Well somehow that turned into a model shoot instead of a product shoot, and they loved it. Pics will be used on their site in the near future. I`m really excited to be working with a company who`s products I actually like and use... so much more rewarding.

You can see more of the shoot on their blog inspire.grafea.co.uk and soon on their website.

I think it's hilarious that after showing these pics to a lot of different photographers, the majority reaction is "yeah, yeah, yeah... hot girl in the background... WOW, NICE CAMERAS!!!"

Excellent shots, they really do the product proud. And congratulations on landing the photography gig. Did you provide the "props" as well?

Glad you like them, it's so much easier to take nice pics of a product that inspires you... I'm in love with that camera bag, I know I must sound like a commercial but I just love vintage looking leather bags, and these bags just look better and better the more punishment I put them through. I shot Ottawa Fashion Week this past weekend and it I got so many comments on it.

It's a bit stiff right out of the box, but it softens up VERY nicely... especially with the right treatment... I use a beeswax product meant for saddles, feels like a well worn baseball glove after a while

Great shots!

I do like the color ones, but prefer the black and white ones.

You must have more photos from the shoot...let's see them! :)

As much as I like the b&w ones, I would choose the color ones if I was the bag manufacturer. IMHO, the b&w ones seem more about the camera and the model while the bag seems more prominent in the color ones.

The only comment I would make about the advertisement is that the bag is not the obvious object in the photos, on the first and second pictures is partly cut out of the frame, on the third it is in shadow... If I were a client I wouldn't give a go of those shots but I guess you posted here the more artistic ones than the product ones.
Back to the pictures - in the color version the bag stands out a bit more as previously noticed, but I like the B&W version more due to the light. I would also blow the highlights as much as I could but it is already a personal vision :)
Regards,
b.

The colour pictures are my favourite.

Had a look at the Grafea web site - do you know if they have any plans to make a messenger style camera bag?

John

Acutally yes, I'm working with them right now to put together a few more camera bags. Next up is a larger one similar to the current that would fit a pro size DLSR and four lenses, messenger bag style has been mentioned, I'll make sure to mention it again.
