Great for street: X-Pro1 and M-mount wide angle lenses

Do you know if the 23/1.4 is going to have a distance scale on it? That would be GREAT!

Yes, that would be really great.

BUT the prototypes at photokina of all the new lenses didn't show any scale. The special coupled mechanics make the lenses a lot more expensiv and even a bit bigger too. See the pictures and price of the XF14/2,8...

We'll have to wait and see.

I recently picked up the 25mm f/4 Voigtlander and the official M mount adaptor for my X-Pro1 and took it to London to do a bit of street photography. So impressed! The lens is really sharp and a joy to use on the X-Pro1. I've since gone on a bought the 12mm f/5.6 Voigtlander and an old Jupiter 8 50mm f/2. I love this camera!

The good thing about all this is that all RF lenses are now made equal, RF coupling or not doesn´t matter. Might mean the price of the uncoupled VC 15 will go up ;) No need for the VF either. Hmm, that got me thinking.

Add another one to the VC 25mm f/4 club.

I'm actually using the older non coupled version with indents on 1m, 1.5m and 3m. Works really well to "feel" the focus at your hip while you're walking down the street.

My favorite part about the lens is that it's tiny. Makes the camera about the same depth as an X100 with lens hood attached. I'd like to try out the VC 28mm f/3.5 as that's even smaller and should equal out to about 40mm.

If Voigtlander one day makes native X-mount lens that are tiny, that would be amazing. I don't want a giant f/0.95 lens, just give me a smallish (like the size of a Nokton 35mm f/1.4), full manual 23mm f/2 lens with a finger tab.
