Last Sunday evening there was a great photography show on the Fashion channel. It was called "Naked in the House". Sounds good already, doesn't it? This was a behind the scenes look at a photo competition held in an abandoned industrial building. Each participating photographer is allowed 1/2 hour with a nude model, using only 1 camera, 1 lens, and 1 roll of film. Results are later judged by the competing phtoographers themselves. This was competition # 3. I had seen the first on TV several years ago, but missed seeing # 2. The TV camera follows the photographer and model around the building any you can listen to the photographer give directions to the model and his thinking aloud about the various setups. To make matters more interesting, the competion was held in late November, the day had the season's first snowfall, and the building's windows were mostly all broken out. That model was a real trooper! The cameras used were a couple of Mamiya 6's, a Mamiya TLR, a couple of Hasselblads, some Bronica SLR's, and Mamiya RB and RZ. One photographer's roll was unusable due to her error in exposure calculation! Great TV!
