Hello everyone,

I am a new member to the forum and am awaiting my first RF gear since my very first camera (Minolta R45). I have been an avid photographer since 1985, but have been using SLR's since 1988 or so. I am returning to my roots so to speak, because I am tired of lugging around my heavy SLR's on the street and all the attention that goes with it. I didn't go the P&S direction because of the shutter lag.

With that in mind, I ordered some Bessa gear from CameraQuest and am awaiting delivery (hopefully tomorrow). I don't have a scanner handy to share, but I will be sure to report my adventures.

I enjoy this forum for the information and am glad to see there is a distinctive lack of brand fanaticism here. That is very refreshing.

I look forward to posting here, and hope to find a few new photographer friends .

Welcome. There are many friendly and helpful members here.

IMHO, if you find a place that does good scans when you have film developed it can save a lot of time in Photoshop hours.

I look forward to your adventures in rangefinder land 🙂

Welcome and I second the recommendation to find a lab that does good scans and use them.

Thank you for the welcome. I do have a pro lab in Dallas that I use that does wonderful scans. I had a Velvia 50 slide scanned and printed and it was fantastic.

Typically I shoot chromes for film, and the rest is digital. I am not sure yet, but perhaps I might go really "retro" and start shooting some B&W with the RF's and break out the developing tank again. It's been a long time since I've souped any negs...
