GSN Shutter issues

I picked up an as-is GSN for $2 the other day. It had some issues like a bend filter ring, some mild lens fungus and a dented hotshot. I fixed the fungus and filter ring damage (not too worried about the hotshot)

The only issue left is that the shutter is not opening all the way while firing. I disassembled the lens, cleaned the blades with Ronson and lubed the mech with oil. But I'm still having the same issues with the shutter not opening completely.

I can get them to open by putting pressure on the cams so I know its not an obstruction. I'm really out of ideas on this one.

Can anybody give me any pointers?

Quite a few hits when you search the forum,but a few come to mind,adequate
battery and does it make a slight thunk sound when you wind on the film?

I had one doing the same a while ago, Can't remember exactly the problem but it was the shutter mechanism rather than the blades that needed some cleaning. You need to get it stripped so you can see the shutter, watch what happens when you trip it and it should become clear.

I always wondered why after going through all the trouble to electronically control the shutter speeds, Yashica still put a mechanical self-timer in there. That lever slot is a great doorway for dirt.
