condition is good. The glass is flawless with one .25 mm spot on the front element's coating. Barely see it in certain lighting. THe lens body, on the other hand, looks like there was a previous user, and he or she must have kept it in a bag, unprotected with some very hard things. There is scratching and chipping around the bevels on the focusing ring - like it had been turned while grinding on something. It sounds worse than it is. You wouldn't notice upon initial inspection, and it's not a big enough deal for me to even bother contacting the seller who called it "immaculate." The glass is immaculate - which is all that matters - but the body is about 80%. Good enough. And it looks like my credit card has been charged for less than his over the phone total. Happy about that.
Tomorrow, we shall see if those perfect optics are so perfect.

From Richard Caplan in London. I don't think he even really examined the lens - it looks perfect from arms length. Glass is super sexy, though. Sweet, green/purple coatings.

Congratulations for a second time. The KEH lens was a phantom. Must have been a rollercoaster of emotions there.
