Hi guys,
I recently acquired a GW 690II and have just got my first roll of Velvia back and souped a roll of Acros.

Both rolls show the cello tape at the beginning of the roll in the very first frame. I followed the loading instructions in the manual, winding on the roll until the appropriate marks line up before closing the back.

And I've only got 7 shots from each roll - I should get 8 right?

The frame spacing is quite inconsistent too.

Is it something I'm doing wrong?

Be careful to load the film with the lines perfectly and keep tension on the film. Then don't advance the film to quickly, just do it evenly and slowly. You probably will get your 8 shots then. I had this problem once on a GSW and I rectified it by winding slower.

The pace of advancing the film might be part of the overlapping or narrow spacing. I noticed when winding my 670 very fast the gaps between frames were smaller. The situation is the same on my knob would TLR.

hmmm thanks mate, I'll be extra careful next time. I thought I did line up everything pretty closely and keep the tension on though.
