Had a chance to expose a roll of Alpha Cinestill 800T in 120

I had a chance to shoot the new Cinestill 800T in 120. I believe that this film isn't released yet. I was asked to give general impressions of the film.

I would have preferred to have had a chance to scan the film myself but I couldn't make it in to pick up my film in time so I ended up up using terrible lab scans.

It appears that this film would do in low light and could even be shot at 1600 developed normally and I bet there would be a great image from it. Not bad for a cinema film.

Awesome video. I'm hoping to try some Cinestill 800T soon. Love the images you got with it.
BTW, sweet 67 with WLF, I have the same setup.

It's REALLY hard for me to get through a roll of this stuff. Just find it difficult to waste for testing purposes. I ended up shooting this roll over the course of a couple weeks.

Testing it in all lighting conditions was a goal of mine. Like I said, the 800T seems like it could in fact go pretty low light even with medium format. I think that if you were to underexpose by a stop it should be recoverable. However, I never tested this and I haven't picked up the neg yet to see the actual density.

My next video will be an extreme pushing episode, putting delta 3200 to work at 12,800. Keep an eye out for that when it gets published.

Also Colton, the P67 is wonderful with the WLF. I picked up my 67II WLF from Cal on the forum here.

I had the opportunity to shoot this roll of film as well. I pushed it to 1600 and loved the results that came from it. I was using it on a Zeiss Mess Ikonta Folder (6x9). Lovely tones and worked great on night light shots.

I can't wait until the film is widely available. I really like the look of Cinestill, but 35mm just doesn't seem worth the trouble anymore.

I hope it's cheap enough I can afford a few rolls.
