Well, as my Canon Pixma Pro 9500 Mrk II was not selling, I came upon a small deal on this paper from Amazon:

I figured it wouldn't hurt to buy it and try making a REAL print on the Canon. I had previously only printed on 8.5x11 standard glossy HP paper. I found this picture:
and cropped it to 13x19 in lightroom and hit print.











Wow, that print looked INCREDIBLE.
I also printed one like this one, but a better scan and slightly better posture/facial expression. I converted it to B&W in lightroom, cropped to 13x19 and also applied the 1/3rd rule and hit print.....
again, same reaction:
So whats the point of this post?
That printers MINE, all MINE, and you can't have it!!!
I am now going to do a comparison of a fiber print to one of my scanned B&W films to see which I like better. For color work I'll keep this printer and most likely stick with the darkroom for B&W.
