Last month I got a short hike at the top of Haleakala, Maui. I'd like to share some photos from my old & trusty m8 and Summarit-M 35/2.5.
The last photo is panorama, made in Microsoft ICE.

Nice! Here is mine from early November 2019. Leica R6.2 with I think 35-70 Vario-elmar-r f/4.0, probably at 70mm. Tmax 100 @ e.i. 50, tripod.

:D Of course! And the apparent curvature is simply an artifact of the pano camera not held level! :)

You were fortunate in having at least partly clear skies up there in the afternoon. Last time I was up there it was socked in and the crater was not visible. Better apparently to get up there early in the morning before the clouds close in, but then the crater would be back-lit.
 
Thanks for sharing. Reminded me when I lugged M8 and lenses up to Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania 2010 :)

Above Kula on the road to the crater rim of Haleakala... The clouds were forming and dissipating in place according to the wind, moisture, and terrain.
