In good light I prefer M8 colors (especially blues) to any of my CMOS Canons or Nikons.

Nice, sensor dust free images.
I had M8 and M-E at same time. Sensors supposed to be very close, but strangely, I liked M8 bright day, place of exposure pictures more than from M-E. M9 sensor seems to be more for indirect light.

Thank you! I've never had M9 / M-E, but used to shot some CCD cameras like Leica M8, Fuji S5 Pro and Nikon D40 together with CMOS Canons, Nikons and Leica X1.
In bright sunny day, IMO, nothing can come close to CCD sensor in terms of color quality and tonality (even my beloved Canon 5D classic)
