My GT is heading out soon to visit Uncle Hama, so I thought I'd check around for (affordable) half cases like Zhou and/or hand-grips like GMP for our Electros. Any ideas?

Also, I have the original Yashica cap and rubber hood that slip on, but I'm worried about it showing its miles (apparently hard to replace, too). Has anyone used the 55mm Hama rectangular hood? Success?

The Electros do have a case that works quite well, though some do disintegrate after a while. I think some of the cases for the larger/older Yashica SLRs might also fit.

My original Electro case works well enough for me, not in the best condition but functional. I have read somewhere (www.?) that the case from a Canon AE-1 or AE_1 Program will work but i have never tried it.
Maybe a local leather craft store could make one using the original case as a pattern ... maybe
The original hood is supposed to be a little short and most aftermarket ones can obscure the viewfinder and meter ... or so i hear
I would be VERY interested to find a hood that works :)
How's the camera after its visit to Mark?
