Anyone tried to scan halframes with auto feeder Coolscan V? Does it works? I have know old and not that good PF1800 scanner which is also auto feeder and it scans halfframes without problems. I am asking cause maybe Coolscan V will not recognise frames.
Thanks.

Yes, I was scanning a film shot with Konica Autoreflex half frame. As far as I remember it worked quite well... But I just don't remember what software I was using - Nikon or Silverfast (because in Silverfast one can adjust the position of individual frames before starting the batch scan).

I tried that in ViewScan and failed. I want to scan 24x24 and 24x28 negatives with Autofeeder.
Any hints how to get it working?

You can drive the Coolscan V with 35mm autofeeder to do this with VueScan, setting auto-spacing for batch scanning 18x24, 24x24, or 24x28 frames. You do this by juggling the frame offset and frame spacing parameters in the input tab.
I've done it with Tessina (14x21 mm) and Robot (23x23) film strips. I don't have my settings and files handy, but a suitable bit of experimentation should net you the results you want.
