All good photos, but this one really grabs me. The way the hats in the background line up is quite the catch.

Thank you very much! Hanoi is a vibrant and culturally rich city. So many facets of life to photograph as seen in the photos from other contributors in this thread. I would love to go back again as I felt I only "touched the surface" with my photos.

Hello again,
I think some color photos would be better after long pages dedicated to b/w.
As many of you may have aware that motorbike has become a "culture" in Vietnam, despite that now we are suffering the side effects that it has brought. In photos below, you can see that many people use motorbikes as their tool for earning a living. We call in motorbike taxi or "Xe ôm" in Vietnamese. I am pretty sure that many Western folks who came to Vietnam already knew this word.

Thank you for letting me learn a new thing about Hanoi. I was puzzled why did some motorcyclists sleep on their bikes. I assumed they prefer the cooler outdoors during summer. Now I know why!
I did not shoot with any colour film in Hanoi. Perhaps I will do it in my next visit.

the foreigner (i think) was idling on his motorbike on the sidewalk for some minutes, and there happened to be the cop fanning himself nearby, so he yelled at him to get off. good chance cause i was gonna take a pic of the guy on the motorbike anyways

the best thing is zipping along the road on the back of a speeding motorbike and trying to focus a 50mm jupiter-3 lens on a leica M.
one of the highlights of my journey in Hanoi!

Great! I have seen many photos of to me "exotic" places and most of them are in the category already seen so many times. But the photos in this thread, both color and B&W are special, I would say are made with the heart (beside the eye and the brain
) as the man hand carving a stamp I have seen in one of the photo. Congrats!
