Nice photographs, wish you had more to see, particularly the first colour ones. What is nicest about your photos, is that they are not very high contrast. I think high contrast lenses don't help to capture the feeling of the "atmosphere" and air of lands in the tropics. Higher contrast lenses and films are too clinical.

Looking forward to my trip to hanoi nowThanks for sharing!
Thanks, if you have time when you are in Hanoi, do not hesitate to contact me at least for a coffee.
Last month, I met a RFFer from US when he did an assignment in Hanoi and we had a good talk.
It's really great that via the thread, I have a chance to introduce Hanoi to people.

Thank you. May be I should shoot more color as now I mainly use b/w films for my street photo works.
About the technical aspect, thanks for good Leica lenses I am using, I can convey the "atmosphere" of the city as you said to audience.

Would be good if we could meet up. I'm traveling with my girlfriend though so it might be a liiitle bit difficult.
I'll drop you a PM in a bit once I've checked with her

Thanks Vinh, happy lunar new year to you too!
What I found more interesting are behaviors of the young couple,
Each was doing their own things even they sat in the same table.
That's also the reason I use the title "Boring couple"

I really have no idea cause I rarely follow TV programs. I guess some stations are still broadcast via analogue signals such as Vietnam TV stations. I heard that they are going to stop supplying analogue service in Hanoi and HCMC soon. Other provinces will following up once the cable networks & digital TVs are capable enough.

Thank you, actually the thread is updated with newest photos that I have taken. I don't know when the next update will be yet, totally depends on my productivity.
I've been taking photos of Hanoi using Leica M for over 5 years, I do hope that after ten years, I can produce at least a private publication.
