Mr. Adams would be 111 today...
I do like his work and have been trying as much as I can to follow, learn and use the Zone System...early on in my photographic days I never could understand why thing were always Gray...upon hearing about and reading on the topic of the Zone System I tried to understand but never could completely grasp what and how to do it...(Back around 1979 a friend gave me Fred Picker's book "Zone VI Workshop") I read it and understood what he was getting at but found that I was stumbling though the process, at times I got good results but nothing that consistent...
The one big help in this whole deal has been the use of my newest Light Meter...a Weston Ranger 9 with the Zone System scale on it...I get it now and have seen the difference in my more recent negs that have been consistent in exposure...and with that I'd like to say Thank you & Happy Birthday to Ansel Adams...
