Happy Hassy

maddoc,
great lowlight work! I guess I don't think of my 'blad as a lowlight tool, SLR slap and all, time to rethink it's potential.

My guess will be Tri-X, seen Maddoc use that quite often.

I even use my Bronica ETR for streetwork, that thing is much louder than the Hassy, but I'd love sth that have leaf shutter now

Todd, the one shot showing your Hassy, is it cropped or did you use / have a A16 back (4.5x6) ? If yes, what is your experience ?

Michael, and Hans: The last B&W were actually taken on Tri-X last year and developed in T-max developer. The first B&W shots of mine in this thread were taken with 125PX, and the subway shot on 400TMY.

Here is one of my friend Nobu who got infected by the "Hassy-bug" from me ... :D:

Rolleiflex: light, easy to use, 645 +6x6, simple design, worst ergonomics of any camera, but:

I have a 501CM, a very nice camera. Noisy, intrusive, sometimes unreliable, fantastic lenses, convenient operation, and now with the advent of pro digital, one of the best camera deals out there. And, if you are young enough to appreciate such things, sexy as Hell.

But.....I bought a very well used Rolleiflex Automat f3.5, (mfg. 1954) about two months ago, overhauled it, and I absolutely love the thing. Lightweight, unobtrusive, fantastic lens and very quiet shutter. I've hand held it at 1/15 sec. with usable results. And I'm afraid, if you are old enough to appreciate such things, sexier than the Hassy.

Talking about Rolleiflex ...

Talking about Rolleiflex ...

... that camera is for sure something special. Handheld @ 1/15s no problem and very silent. :)

Two with my Rolleiflex 3.5E (Planar):

Hello everybody.....I love my Hasselblad 501cm/80mm.......I must admit that I have been neglecting it recently because my m6 has been more "comfortable" to take around Bangkok....but, after looking at these pictures, I might have to take it out and shoot some photos.....here are some photos with it when I used to carry it everywhere.....

literiter, I'm old enough! My newest film camera is a BessaR. Next is a SLR-autofocus from the 90s. My other users are between 1953 and 1969. The RolleiflexT is just nice. 645 mode:

Great shots, Michael!

Wonderful tonality, intriguing eyes, story-telling surroundings... love it.

The Hassy thread has revived!

Here's one from my last roll - a fairly sobering subject. Shot with off-camera flash and the camera exposure set two stops below ambient.
