Hasselblad 180 CF vs CFE/CFI

I am looking to buy a 180/4.
Now all versions are optically the same, but some older lenses (but not all) are very stiff to focus compared to later models (CFI/CFE). So the question is, does the 180 CF have a stiff focus?

I have both CF and CFi lenses. In the case of the 180mm CF, the focus ring is so large that it is nice and smooth to focus. In the case of my 100mm, the CF version I used to have was stiffer than my 100mm CFi.

My 180 CF is as smooth as butter. I think it has more to do with the grease drying out or not.
