Has anyone tried the 90° viewfinder?

I had the unmetered PM90 but traded it in for a PM45, though still prefer the WLF most of the time.

Holding a 500 at eye level seemed unnatural ; though I imagine the 90 degree finder would work a lot better with a winder on the side of a 503.

Good point, I tried the 45 with the cw winder on another camera and I was quite surprised at the ergonomics. Hmmmm... With the 90, it would be similar to an H body.
