Negativistic forever
Alain was a wonderful person and an expert in FSU cameras; several times I had the privilege of learning from him, and I gladly helped him in getting some South American Zenit models from a seller in Brazil. His collaboration is acknowledged in J L Princelle's book.
He left us, but good memories of him are still with us.

Interesting page, even though it's on the Lomo site. Pity they call them "analog cameras", what a stupid term - almost insulting. Why not call them what they are, film cameras?

I used to be in the watch business (as in wristwatches and other timepieces). I knew some collectors who had amassed a similar number of items. We referred to their behavior as more of an illness than a hobby. 4,000 FSU's. That's a museum. Having one's wife involved, however, keeps the whole thing safe (how many of us have to sneak just one more camera or lens into the house???).

Truly so. 4000 cameras? Amazing.
I isn't that I have to sneak cameras into the house so much as I sneak into the house.
