Hey, the manager of my favorite Walgreen's lab is transferring. I think I'm going to cry! I've worked with her for about two years and she has trained her entire staff to get my film out clean and quick. The thing is, they haven't found anyone to replace her yet, and I've been toying with the idea of applying for the job(maybe only part time (if possible). I've never done anything like this before. I know most of their work is digital/internet orders, but I'm just wondering if anyone here has had experience in this line of work and have any good/bad stories to tell.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what to do tell you. It's pretty boring, as you said, all digital orders. It's mindless busy work really, fetching prints from online orders, sending to printer, checking for quality control, packaging, and billing.
Upside is you'll probably get to do all or most of your film for free.
Make sure you learn the nuances of the equipment, there will be tricks that no one at the store knows, but you can find online.

Many places including where I work use Kodak's DP-2 software to edit, package, and send to the printer..

IT SUX!!!!!!!!!!!

But you learn how to get around its shortcomings..
