I am curious if anyone has had experience with the Hawk's R-50 adapter, or any other Hawk's products (the R-50 allows Retina and Karat lenses to be mounted on M-cameras with coupled focusing).

I'd like to keep the Compur shutter intact and use it for multiple exposures and faster sync speeds on a Leica M2. Sort of a poor man's Compur-Summicron. Hawk's instructions show removing the Compur shutter blades during assembly. The written descriptions are not too clear...pretty vague in fact...so I'm not quite sure this would be a wise investment for $400. Thanks.
