It is Victory Day today in Europe. And tomorrow in FSU. Henri Cartier-Bresson is one of those who was in it. I respect him for this.
In this documentary about him, I spotted episode with camera looking like Zorki-5 or 6.

Maybe he got one when he was in the USSR in 1954, being the first western photoreporter after the war who was welcome there.
I know this film-fragment, but I always thought he held an M3.
Could also be that the shot of the Zorki is inserted in this film. You only see the hands of the photographer. At the start of the film you see Cartier-Bresson with his black M3.

Is there chance HCB was gifted Zorki when he visited USSR? Engraved "From communist party and whole soviet population".

It's been discussed here and elsewhere before: http://www.pdexposures.com/more-reason-for-tony-to-love-hcb/ I think the general consensus was it was a Zorki 5.

Robert Capa was there in 1948 with John Steinbeck. See the latter's A Russian Journal.

Yes he did - some are printed in the book, perhaps two dozen or so. It being a travelogue, there is quite a bit of discussion of the process and difficulties of taking photos in the Soviet Union at that time. I stumbled upon a first edition in a local book shop last year. Highly recommended.

Indeed, but he was not treated as such on that trip.
