He Who Buys a Fed Buys Junk!

Hi,
I was thinking that in 50 years time there will be home chip kits and a few people making them for fun. In the same way that there are people these days with proper workshops with lathes, milling machines etc, etc in garages.
50 years is a little too long to suggest it won't be possible, I'm just sceptical that it would be a practical proposition by then. Who knows, there may be the much-vaunted nano-machines by then that could make it a breeze to build such parts or repair existing ones, or even manufacture film!

Back to the original spirit of this thread -- I have a Kiev4a. Works flawlessly. Pictures I take with this camera are amazing. Razor sharp photos, nice contrast, beautiful colour. I'm very impressed, considering I only paid $60 (including shipping). It's the first (and only) FSU rangefinder I've purchased. I suppose I better stop while I'm ahead! :)

I ordered a piece of junk Monday from fedka: FED-2 (B), rated by Yuri as exc. It should get here today or tomorrow. I will mount a Jupiter-8 that I bought from fedka for my Bessa R, and load a roll of roll. I suspect some photographs will result ... :)
