50 years is a little too long to suggest it won't be possible, I'm just sceptical that it would be a practical proposition by then. Who knows, there may be the much-vaunted nano-machines by then that could make it a breeze to build such parts or repair existing ones, or even manufacture film!Hi,
I was thinking that in 50 years time there will be home chip kits and a few people making them for fun. In the same way that there are people these days with proper workshops with lathes, milling machines etc, etc in garages.
