Item # 150083247009

I considered it - but I've already got the Nokton 1.2 which I'm happy with (even if it is "big" to some)

Hey Kev, you going to Vegas?

I wish 🙂

I don't know how Ascough did it. I would be too nervous to use it only because it would be, well, difficult to go back to manual focus for that stuff.
I've become so reliant on AF that it's unbelievable.

But, now that you mention it, what I may do is see what it would be like to use a C-41 B&W film in the M7 for engagement portraits or bridal sessions (if I get one) 😀.

I know there's a guy in my neck of the woods on DWF that has an M8 and he's used it successfully for an engagement shoot and the images were pretty stunning. He took a very very good attitude towards that camera and worked within and around its shortcomings. I think we all do that with all the cameras but we just don't bother to be as vocal because all of our cameras are not Leica 😀

It's funny, but the manual focus isn't as troublesome to me as the 1/50th flash sync or manual film winding. I was shooting with a 'Two Leica M, One Canon EOS-3' kit last season, using the Canon mostly for Macro and flash work, but I finally figured out that I need to flip that equation and have the M be the 'specialty' camera. Otherwise, there's too much stress trying to use an M for flash photography, or worrying that you'll miss getting a good shot during the recessional, etc..
