i feel a bit silly doing this but i have had a few requests for an update...

i'm fine!

actually, i had an visit with my own doc on monday afternoon and all seems ok, blood pressure etc. i have to see him again in 2 weeks.
i'm eating healthy and starting to (exercise) walk more each day.

yesterday, a few ladies i know came over and cleaned my place and then fed me.
it's a bit humbling to sit while others clean up your mess.

the hardest part is being at home and not being able to 'do' much. i'm not really good at just sitting.
some of my meds contribute to tiring easily and i hope that side effect wears off soon.

i want to thank all of you who in public post or private messege have been checking up on me and offering support.
g'man checks in morning & evening daily and makes me promise to take good care of myself. he is now officially on the list of who to contact in case this happens to me again. 🙂

thanks,
joe

Glad to hear you're getting better....from someone who had to spend the better part of 4 months at home and virtually immobile, I empathize with your lack of self sufficiency. I took to snapping at people who tried to help me out of my own frustration.

Keep your head up and continue focussing on the bigger picture of long term health, whatever minor setback might occour. You're in our thoughts.

😀 I spent three months in the hospital when I was eighteen; totally lost it one day and threw everything in the room I could get my hands on (from my bed and a futile attempt at getting out and standing). After the moment was over I thought I was going to be in a great deal of trouble, but the nurse that came in apparently understood completely - she said it wasn't the first time it had happened. Being immobilized can present some real challenges.

Thanks for the update joe, - keep the news coming, we all want to help and encourage you to win the battles, sometimes a long steady campaign is called for. stay cheerful and talk to your mates about the problems.

Don't forget sugar will need an excercise routine, to help you get your fitness back !, my little dog "jaq" helped me by taking me for walks, even when i didn't want to go sometimes.
